Execution region

OPEN WORKPLACE · MODEL AND EXPERIMENTAL PROTOCOL
Providers supply execution. A Workplace owns continuity.
Open Workplace defines shared responsibilities for durable human-agent workplaces and the independent experimental `open-workplace/0.2-draft` protocol for resolving them. Four semantic primitives, one objective-bounded context and three regions of authority preserve ownership without turning one implementation into a universal ontology.

PLATE 1 · ORTHOGONAL REGIONS
Provider · Runtime · Tools · temporary state
Execution can end without becoming durable Workplace truth.
Sources · Material · Relationships · resolution
Re-entry resolves owned context and provenance from the declared boundary.
Independent truth · history · permissions · observed effects
A Relationship provides bounded reach; access never transfers authority.
The provider may remember the session. The Workplace must preserve owned context.
PLATE 2 · SHARED TERMS
Open Workplace shares only the terms needed to recover ownership, provenance and authority. Home, Member, Desk, Room, Meeting, Equipment, Site and Route belong to the Endroit Profile, not this model.
A declared durable boundary within which owned context and relationships can be resolved.
responsibility boundary
An execution or editing scope; it may provide evidence but does not establish a Workplace.
responsibility execution scope
A versioned mapping from shared responsibilities to one implementation.
responsibility implementation
Content declared authoritative by an identified owner for one responsibility.
responsibility authority
A rebuildable representation derived from Sources for a consumer.
responsibility presentation
Addressable content whose owner and durable state can be determined.
responsibility durability
A declared connection to another authority without transferred ownership or permission.
responsibility reach
The objective-bounded result containing relevant Sources, Material, Relationships, limits and conflicts.
responsibility orientation
Information sufficient to recover a claim’s Source and correction owner.
responsibility traceability
The right to establish a claim or authorize an effect; access alone is not authority.
responsibility consent
PLATE 3 · INDEPENDENT SEMANTICS
Execution produces candidates outside durable truth. Retain and archive change Material durability; acceptance records judgment on a revision, completion evaluates a contract, and delivery reports an external observation.

Intent and consent remain human responsibilities.
execution region model, tools, sandbox and session state
Its output begins outside durable Workplace truth.
execution region different model, tools and cache
It resolves the same owned Sources without receiving provider A’s transcript.
PLATE 5 · CONTAINMENT ≠ OWNERSHIP
The same rule protects every boundary: a Projection never replaces its Source, and a Relationship declares access without granting consent. The grammar is small because each rule refuses one convenient confusion.
PLATE 6 · ORIENTATION

PLATE 7 · PROFILES
A Profile owns vocabulary, discovery, schemas and projections. Inspect the bindings implemented by the qualified local Endroit release candidate forendroit/0.10 targeting open-workplace/0.2-draft:

With only one observed Profile, cross-Profile conformance remains unproven. This local candidate is not yet published or deployed.
PLATE 8 · SCOPE
The protocol governs interpretation. It does not:
Runtimes, editors, repositories and providers keep their own authority. They can participate precisely because none of them is asked to become the source of truth.
